4) Products – Information and Presentation

4.1 Product Description

The Products offered are described as precisely as possible (composition, usage, advice, volume, etc.). Information is based, in particular, on data provided by brands and manufacturers.

4.2 Photos and Color Rendering

Makeup.paris pays particular attention to the quality of visuals. However, the Client acknowledges that:

  • color rendering may vary depending on the screen, brightness, or display settings,
  • packaging may change (rebranding, design updates) without altering the essential features of the product.

Visuals are for illustrative purposes only and are not contractual.

4.3 Usage Advice and Precautions

The Client agrees to follow the advice and usage precautions provided on the label, instruction manual, or product sheet. In case of sensitive skin, allergies, or doubts, it is recommended to perform a patch test and/or consult a healthcare professional.

5) Availability

Products are offered while stocks last. If unavailable after order confirmation, Makeup.paris will inform the Client as soon as possible and propose, as applicable:

  • a refund of the unavailable Product, or
  • an alternative solution (only with the Client’s agreement).

No automatic substitution will be made without Client approval.

6) Order Process

To place an order, the Client follows these steps:

  1. select Products and add to cart
  2. check cart and quantities
  3. enter delivery and billing details
  4. select available delivery method
  5. secure payment
  6. receive confirmation email

The final validation of the Order occurs upon payment confirmation. The Client acknowledges that confirming the order implies full and complete acceptance of these GTC.

Makeup.paris reserves the right to refuse or cancel any order for legitimate reasons (suspected fraud, inconsistent data, payment issues, clearly invalid address, etc.).

7) Prices

Prices are indicated in EUR incl. VAT, excluding delivery fees, which are specified at checkout.

Makeup.paris reserves the right to modify its prices at any time. The applicable price is the one displayed at the time of order confirmation.

In the event of a manifest error (absurd price, obvious technical bug), Makeup.paris may cancel the order and refund the Client.

8) Payment

Payment is due immediately upon ordering. Accepted payment methods: Credit Card / PayPal.

Payment is processed via a secure solution. Makeup.paris does not store the Client’s full banking details.

In case of anti-fraud control, Makeup.paris may request additional information to secure the transaction. Without a response, the order may be cancelled and refunded.

9) Retention of Ownership

Products remain the property of Makeup.paris until full payment is received.

10) Delivery

10.1 Delivery Areas

Makeup.paris delivers to:

  • the European Union (EU)
  • outside the EU, depending on destination eligibility and shipping availability

10.2 Preparation and Shipping

Orders are prepared Monday to Friday (excluding public holidays). Usual preparation time is 24 to 48 business hours, except during exceptional periods.

Shipments are made via a logistics partner, which may use various carriers.

10.3 Delivery Times

Delivery times are indicative and may vary depending on:

  • destination,
  • carrier,
  • customs checks,
  • peak periods.

Makeup.paris provides shipment tracking once dispatched.

10.4 Tracking

A tracking link is sent to the Client by email upon shipment (when available). Some orders may be delivered in multiple packages.

10.5 Delivery Address

The Client is solely responsible for the accuracy of the delivery information (name, address, number, access code, phone).

If the address is incorrect, incomplete, or undeliverable:

  • the parcel may be returned,
  • reshipping fees may be charged to the Client.

10.6 Absence / Pickup Point / Unclaimed Parcel

In case of delivery to a pickup point or drop-off, the Client agrees to collect the parcel within the deadline set by the carrier. An unclaimed parcel may be returned.

In such case, any potential refund (if applicable) may be reduced by actual costs incurred (shipping, return, processing).

10.7 Delivery Delay

In case of significant delay, the Client may contact Customer Service at SUPPORT@MAKEUP.PARIS for assistance and information.

If no specific delivery time was agreed, or if an announced time is unjustifiably exceeded, the Client has legal recourses (e.g. requesting a reasonable additional period, then cancelling the sale if delivery still does not occur).

11) Customs and Taxes (Non-EU Deliveries)

For non-EU deliveries, the Client acknowledges that additional charges may be required by local authorities:

  • customs duties,
  • import VAT,
  • carrier handling fees.

These charges are exclusively borne by the recipient and are not included in the amount paid on the Site.

In case the parcel is refused due to non-payment of customs/taxes, it may be returned or abandoned depending on local regulations. If a refund is possible, it may be reduced by actual costs incurred (shipping, return, processing).

12) Receipt – Claims (Damage, Errors, Missing Items)

12.1 Inspection Upon Receipt

The Client is encouraged to check the condition of the parcel upon receipt.

12.2 Reporting Deadline (Shipping / Preparation)

To ensure prompt handling with the carrier and logistics partner, any issue must be reported within 5 calendar days of receipt:

  • broken product / leakage / damaged package,
  • missing item,
  • incorrect reference.

The Client must provide:

  • order number,
  • photos of the parcel (exterior) + shipping label,
  • photos of the interior and affected Products.

This quick reporting period is for shipping and preparation issues. It does not affect the Client’s rights under statutory warranties (see Article 18).

13) Right of Withdrawal (EU Consumer Clients)

13.1 Principle

In accordance with applicable law, the consumer Client has a period of 14 days from receipt of the Products to exercise their right of withdrawal, without needing to justify the decision.

The withdrawal must be notified to Makeup.paris before the deadline, via email at support@makeup.paris or through the Site’s contact form.

13.2 Return of Products

After notification, the Client has 14 additional days to return the Products.

Unless otherwise agreed, return shipping costs in the event of withdrawal are borne by the Client.

13.3 Condition of Products

Products must be returned:

  • new, unused,
  • complete,
  • in their original packaging, clean and fit for resale.

If Products were handled beyond what is necessary to assess their nature, characteristics, and functioning, a deduction may apply.

14) Exceptions to the Right of Withdrawal (Hygiene & Safety)

For health protection and hygiene reasons, the right of withdrawal cannot be exercised for Products that:

  • have been unsealed/opened after delivery,
  • cannot be returned due to compromised sanitary conditions.

This particularly concerns (indicative list):

  • makeup and skincare products for direct use,
  • hygiene products,
  • accessories in direct contact with the skin when returning them presents a health risk.

These exceptions do not apply in the case of a defective or non-compliant Product.

The Client will receive:

  • and, where applicable, an alternative solution (exchange, reshipment, refund).

Any return sent without prior authorization may be refused.

16) Refunds

16.1 Method

Refunds are made using the original payment method.

16.2 Processing Time

Refunds are generally processed within 3 to 10 business days after the claim is validated and/or returned Products are received, depending on banking timelines.

Makeup.paris may delay the refund until return receipt or proof of reliable shipment is provided.

16.3 Partial Refund / Refusal

Makeup.paris reserves the right to:

  • refuse the refund of any Product that is used, opened, incomplete or unsuitable for resale,
  • apply a proportional deduction if the Product’s condition prevents normal resale.

25) Modification of the GTC
